When he was young, Matthew Schwam traveled with his father to factories across Asia. He didn’t know it then, but he was being trained in two languages — design and manufacturing. He watched as raw material turned into something beautiful, something imagined. And Matthew learned a truth that would define his life’s work:

This “design without limits” philosophy has guided SSG since its inception in 2004, when we launched as a holiday and visual display design studio serving flagship retailers and global brands.

In 2004, Schwam Sourcing Group was founded in New York City by Matthew Schwam -with the mission to source and manufacture for his then holiday design, display and distribution company, Holiday Image.
In 2018, Schwam Sourcing Group expanded it’s mission to serve as a direct outsourced partner for visual merchandising teams to design, source, manufacture, manage and distribute all season custom props and decoratives.
